Foundation primer – yay or nay?

Growing up I used to love watching my mom do her makeup. I always look for new techniques and products to improve my makeup skills. I learnt most of it watching youtube videos ( Hudabeauty , Nikkietutorials & Charlotte Tilbury being my top favourites).

With the widest range of make up products out there, it can be so confusing as to ‘what to buy’ and you often find yourself asking ‘do I really need this?’

Have you wondered why your foundation doesn’t stay all day? Well, it’s probably because you are not using a foundation primer. Since the day I started using one I have never stopped.

Let’s start with,

Nivea men after shave balm: Nikkietutorials swears by this, as bizarre as it sounds, it does the job pretty well but it did not work for me. My skin type is dry combination. … I found this ⬇

Smashbox photo finish foundation primer: This primer literally changed my life! A pea size amount is all you need, apply it and then use your foundation. You will notice the difference instantly, the foundation will go on so smoothly, and it won’t budge all day. Smashbox products are now available in India at Sephora and nykaa.com.

      1. I do try primers out. It annoys me though. Like I said before, I lay the blame on the foundation itself. Marc jacobs remarcable doesn’t budge on me without any primer in 35 degrees for 10+ hours 😉 Revlon colorstay oily/combination skin is 10+ hours wear without primer too, MAC face and body etc. 😆
